Welcome to All About Walton! I originally wanted this to be the title, but I found I had to emphasize that this site is focused on Walton County, Georgia to avoid confusion with Walton County, Florida. It’s a common issue online to think you’re reading local reviews only to find out you’re a few hundred miles off.
The purpose of this site will be to document information related to Walton County – it’s history, geography, topography, and everything in between. It’s my aim to avoid the more commonly-discussed topics like politics or what new fast food chain restaurant is coming to town. I want to focus on the ground – the place we call home.
You may not know we have three mountains. We have two major regional lakes. We are bisected by a winding, flowing river. We are home to towns ranging from just nearly 150 souls to over 16,000. We share a history, a story, a place.
